A letter from Pastor Seay
Dear members and friends of Cleveland's First Baptist Church,
As you know, our Sanctuary has not been in use for worship at CFBC for the last several years and our educational building for even longer than that. We believe that the Lord gave us a clear calling in 2024 to begin renovation and remodeling to put these facilities back into service for our Lord beginning with the Sanctuary. That is what "Rebuilding the Walls” is all about. It is based on Nehemiah's call from God to rebuild the wall around Jerusalem and the people's response to his challenge in Nehemiah 2:18, "Yes, let's rebuild the wall!”
We have responded to such a call from God to rebuild the walls of our facilities that were built and dedicated to God and need to be restored to use by His church. We are entering a three year season of commitment to fulfill this call from God. Here is what we are asking of all of us during this historic season that will position our church to fulfill its mission both now and for decades to come until our Lord returns.
PRAY - We are asking our members and friends to pray as never before that the Lord would provide the needed resources to complete the "God-sized challenge” that He has set before us for His glory. We are asking that we all pray intensely, diligently and relentlessly. This can only happen through the power and provision of our God and can only come through prayer! Please PRAY!
GIVE
- Victory will only be realized through prayer and sacrificial giving. We are asking that you pray for God to show you what you should give and then be obedient to Him. These gifts to "Rebuilding the Walls” must be over and above our regular offerings to the church budget so that our ongoing ministries will not suffer during this season but continue their dynamic growth. Whether He leads you to give weekly, monthly, annually or any other way He chooses, we are asking that we all seek Him and be obedient to Him in giving sacrificially.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being a partner in what God is doing in our midst at CFBC! This truly is a pivotal moment in our church's great history and its bright future!

What should you give?
There is just one answer to this questions - a sacrificial gift... as much as your income will allow. Your gift should be adequate enough to make you pleased with your giving. Prior to making a commitment, your and your family should seek God's will in what He would have you do. No one will suggest an amount for you to give.
Remember... the strength of our financial effort is "planned" giving, made possible thru the use of a commitment of "so much per month" over a period of three years. Please see the table below showing per month commitments and what they will amount to as a total commitment for the thirty-six months.
